Compost

Earth beings — including so-called “human” beings — are in a continual process of re-merging with the soil. We are compost This transformation, in which decaying organic matter returns to the earth and nourishes new life, is known as composting, or more poetically, composture. It is a state of becoming-soil — a material and symbolic rejoining with the Earth. In the same line of thinking it’s a contemporary extension of memento mori.
