Earth Beings

An “Earth Being” refers to natural elements like mountains, rivers, or trees as entities that have their own active presence, rather than simply existing as passive objects. This concept encourages us to see landscapes as responsive participants in the world, prompting us to question human-centered perspectives. It can also be extended to encompass all living beings—animals, plants, fungi, and even the smallest microorganisms—each with their own agency and role within the interconnected web of life. In this sense, Earth Beings remind us that the planet is not a backdrop for human activity but a shared, dynamic community of existence.
